Celebrating the Barbie Movie and all things Pink!
I’m a Barbie Girl, in a Barbie world!
This past weekend my mom and I went and saw the Barbie movie and boy were we immersed into the pink world of my childhood dreams and SO.MUCH.MORE!
I laughed.
I cried.
My imagination came back to life.
My childhood memories flashed before my eyes.
My LOVE for pink was reawakened.
And when the credits rolled, I felt so deeply inspired and moved all at the same time.
There was a nice balance between pink fun and the real human thoughts and emotions we deal with on a daily basis. To me this movie was a warm hug from an old friend. A “you got this” hug to every little girl, little boy, woman, man, Barbie and Ken out there trying to figure out their place, their worth, and what they were made for.
Greta Gerwig created a beautiful movie and one I will watch many many times more. A movie I'm sure, the more I watch, the more lessons and inspiration I will take away.
