Lately!

It’s been a hot minute since I last wrote a ‘lately’ post and we have a lot to catch-up on!

First, holy WOW can you believe Taylor Swift is dropping a new album at midnight tonight. We went from Lover to Folklore, her new ‘folk’ album. I seriously have whiplash just thinking about how different this album will be from her previous. Fingers crossed there is an ear worm of a pop song I can sing to while in the car. My thoughts on the album will come…but for now we must wait till midnight and if you need something to listen to I recommend B. Spear Mood Ring. It’s a true….mood.

This weekend is a packed busy one! I kick the weekend off tomorrow with a virtual happy hour. I’m happy hour-ing with a new friend I made in my coaching mentorship. I’m really looking forward to it and cannot wait to talk coaching, business, ideas and more with her. Saturday is the Create & Cultivate Beauty Summit and I am super pumped. You can read all about the gift box I was surprised with here, but I’m looking forward to connecting with other women in the health, wellness and beauty industry and learn from some of the top business founders and influencers in the space. We have a graduation party to attend and Ben is playing golf. It’s a busy one, but full of so many great things!

Home decor: Having spaces in your home that feel cozy, comfortable and like an escape are super important. The first year in our house was hard because we really didn’t do anything except paint. The house just felt like a house and not a home. It truly does affect our overall wellbeing when we are not living in a space that doesn’t feel good. It’s hard to come home to and relax. So we have been on a mission to fix things up, switch light fixtures out and really make our house a home. We are almost done with our porch (woo hoo) and we waiting on the below pillows to come. We also switched out our foyer light fixture to a new one and what a difference that made. Later this summer we are replacing the tile in the foyer which I cannot wait! Below is what we have purchased. I really like Pineapples. Did you know they are a sign of hospitality?

Reading: You know me. Always have my nose in a book. I shared a few new reads I have booked marked here, but currently I am reading an oldie but goodie, Simon Sinek’s Start with Why. It really made me get grounded back in my purpose and has fueled me in new and inspiring ways on how to bring my purpose to life in a bigger and bolder way. A great read for any one who values why the do what they do or why the work with/for who they work with/for.

Eating: As a believer and individual practicer of intuitive eating and who coaches women to set diet rules aside, I of course am cooking out of a cook book that supports the same mission. Gaby Dalkin’s Eat What You Want is California inspired food and it does not disappoint. Supper easy, light and truly nourishes the soul. We made tacos, her watermelon salad and a summertime pasta from her and it was sooooo good!

Wearing: My mecca, Madewell, was having a 40% off sale this week so I bought this dress, this dress and this skirt and CANNOT wait for them to come. A few influencers I follow bough the first dress and it looked super chic. I’m excited for a new staples in the closet and spruce up in my wardrobe.

Wellness: I am still loving my Peloton and they just did a whole Britney Spears week. I’m talking cycling, runs, weight lifting and power walks all to the actual tune of Britney Spears. It was a glorious week and I think I danced more than actually worked out. When I talk about creating joy in movement and working out this is what I am talking about. Music I love. Trainers I love. A plethora of movement options. It’s awesome and I love it. I love that I can connect with my friends too and we all can virtually workout together.

Watching: Still obsessed with The Dead Files on Travel Channel. Super into the paranormal right now and I might become a ghost hunter. Hey, a girl needs options! But seriously, check the show out. Amy and Steve are fascinating to watch and how accurate they are is wild. Each episode keeps me on pins and needles!

That’t it for now!
