Gift Guide for Wellness Lovers
Happy Holidays! Welcome to my very first gift guide, ever. Beyond my personal Christmas list I share with Santa each year, I’m excited to share with you all my gift ideas this holiday season to hopefully make your shopping a little bit easier.
So, to kick-off the holiday season, I wanted to start with a guide that would be useful and highlight gift ideas that can help you and your loved ones continue to cultivate healthy, nourishing and balanced lives this season and into 2021.
This is my Gift Guide for Wellness Lovers! Get ready to step up your kitchen game with non-toxic kitchen staples, stock your cabinets with clean beauty magic, allow your body and mind to rest and relax and maybe help someone else (or you) prioritize a little self-care this holiday season. Whatever you or your secret Santa may need this holiday season, below are my wellness gift ideas.
REST, RECOVER & SLEEP
Rest, recovery and sleep are so important to our physical, metal and emotional health. I’m one who protects her sleep no matter what and am a stickle about implementing my nighttime routine. It is essential you get good sleep so your body, mind and heart can rest, recover and work for you at its best the next day. Here are a few gift ideas to make sleep that much more enjoyable.
Quilt: This quilt is on my own Christmas list and I have had my eye on it for awhile. I love the neutral colors, it’s lightness and the quality. It seems like the perfect blanket to cuddle up in for a nourishing nap.
Silk Pillow Case: I LOVE my silk pillow case so much! It not only promotes restorative sleep, but it helps prevent my hair breakage and creases on your face which may cause aging. It also helps keep my hair from getting super oily so I am able to go an extra day between washings.
Pillow Spray: I spray a pillow spray every night to help promote a good nights sleep. The calming smell helps signal I am entering into sleep mode and I truly believe a nighttime pillow spray has been essential in me having better sleep. A great stocking stuffer!
Sleep Mask: To help battle aging, dullness and wrinkles, I have been using a sleep mask at night that I keep on while I sleep. This is a clean beauty mask option, but here are a few budget friendly options: here, here and here.
Mushroom Hot Cacao Mix: Promote sleep, calmness and a healthy body with this hot cacao mix made of natural superfoods. It’s super tasty and great addition to a nightly routine.
NON-TOXIC LIVING
I have slowly been making our home a non-toxic home. I first started with out candles, then our cleaners, kitchen essentials and now I am slowly learning about fabrics/textiles and how I can switch out our bedding, towels and more to reflect a non-toxic lifestyle. The below three items are great staples to start with if you or someone you love wants to start shifting over to a non-toxic lifestyle.
The Laundress: This eco-friendly laundry detergent is a game changer! I came across the wool & cashmere cleaner and spray and decided to invest given wool and cashmere season is upon us and mine needed a good cleaning. This cleaner was amazing and I cannot recommend enough. They have a cleaner for almost anything and my next purchase will be their denim wash.
Always Pan: This pan is on my Christmas list too and I have had my eye on it ever since I saw one of my favorite IG bloggers use it. It’s a non-toxic pan that can be used for almost anything in the kitchen as it replaced 8 traditional pieces of cookware. How cool is that?!
Coffee Maker: As a coffee lover, you will really up your coffee making game with this BPA-free coffee maker. It’s not just gorgeous, but is nice a compact to not take up too much room on the counter.
CLEAN BEAUTY
Clean beauty was my first stepping stone into non-toxic living. Here are my three go-to’s I use on a daily basis and would be a perfect gift for your mom, sister, girlfriend or yourself.
Sunscreen: THE most important beauty product in my opinion is sunscreen. I started using this sunscreen this year and love it. It’s not greasy and super lightweight. Another great stocking stuffer for a sun conscious friend!
Lip Balm: This is my go-to lip balm. I absolutely love it. It’s super nourishing and the color is lightly tinted so not too much. I’m not a huge lipstick wearer and this lip balm is such a great everyday lip product to help pull your look together.
Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer: This has been a staple in my skincare/makeup routine for about four years now. I don’t like to wear a lot of foundation, so this tinted moisturizer is perfect. It gives coverage, a glow and moisturizes without needing too much else!
MINDFULNESS
Stay centered this holiday season by making sure to take care of yourself, be present and cultivate mindfulness. Sometimes being present is the perfect present!
Diffuser: I was on the search for a diffuser that was gorgeous, non-toxic and would also get lost in the background and when I saw this one I knew right away it was perfect! Fill your room with your favorite scent to create a warm, inviting and peaceful environment where you can rest, relax and recharge. Here is an essentials oils kit to go with your diffuser. Lavender, spruce, grapefruit and eucalyptus!
52 List of Calm: A great way to reduce anxiety, stress and cultivate calmness on a daily basis. I did the 52 List of Kindness a few years ago and loved the daily activity to bring me back to the present and see the positive and beauty in everyday life. I gifted the kindness journal to my sister and she loved it!
Meditation Pillow: Make meditation that much more comfortable and enjoyable with a meditation pillow. Help guide the meditation with this Calm the Chaos meditation guide or these mindful meditation cards.
MEAL PREP
With the new year approaching and resolutions being set, help support a loved one who is looking to get into meal prepping and non-toxic living with these gift ideas.
Stainless Steele Bento Lunch Box: This rose gold lunchbox is super cute, BPA-free and dishwasher safe. It’s a great on-the-go lunch container and keeps all your food separate so nothing gets smooshed.
Silicone Storage Bags: If you have been following me for awhile, then you know how much I love my silicone bags. I use them for everything - marinades, chopped veggies, dry pantry ingredients, frozen fruit and more. A great, non-toxic way to keep all your groceries fresh and ready for use. I cannot recommend these bags enough!
The Defined Dish: I recommended my current favorite recipe books in this post, but if you are looking for great weekly family meals to make, The Defined Dish is fantastic. She wrote her recipes to be Whole30 compliant, but also adds in suggestions to add dairy, gluten and more back in if your family prefers those ingredients. Plus I love her message of ‘nourish, not deprive’.
FITNESS
This year we all have had to get creative on what movement and fitness looks like in our life. For some, it has been at home virtual workouts and for others it was taking a break waiting for their favorite studio to open back up. Below are the two pieces of fitness equipment, outside of my Peloton, that I could not have lived without this year and would be wonderful gifts to spark movement in your life or someone you loves life!
Yoga Mat: i use my yoga mat almost daily whether it’s for yoga, strength training or meditation. I love a textured mat because it helps me grip better in a pose/move and not slide around. I love this black mat a lot and have had it for year. Quality is great and it cleans easily with a wipe. Also, if you want a mat to easily travel with, this mat is a great travel mat. It’s lightweight and smaller to fit nicely in the overhead.
Ankle and wrist weights: I invested in a set of ankle and wrist weights earlier this year. I was doing so much walking and body weight work I wanted to take it up a notch. Another, more budget friendly, set are these.
SEXUAL HEALTH
A healthy sex life and taking care of your sexual health have always been super important, but more importantly the conversation around both are becoming more and more mainstream with a lot of amazing products coming into the market. These products are especially focused on clean, organic and non-toxic ingredients which in my mind is even better. As someone who is extremely aware of what she puts in and on her body, when it comes to my lady bits, you better believe I am just as aware. Great gifts for you and your partner!
Love Wellness: I became a fan of this brand when I was doing a re-branding project for a vitamin client. Love Wellness was a competitor we looked into and I personally aligned with their mission to bring clean ingredients and body positivity to all women. Products include daily vitamins, vaginal cleansers and wipes, sex lubricants and more. If looking for a quick stocking stuffer for your girlfriend, snag a bag of the travel everyday wipes to stay fresh and clean!
The Sex Gel: If you need a little assistance down there during those steamy moments, this is a great unscented gel. The packaging alone is sleek, modern and sexy, but it’s a clean gel and Gwyneth Paltrow/Goop approved too.
The Sex Journal: Stumbled upon this journal and became instantly intrigued. I love the product description of “greater openness, deeper intimacy, a bit of silliness—and some really enjoyable sex.’ and thought it was such a great way to check-in with your partner, have open dialogue around your intimate relationship and make sure you are each getting what you need emotionally and physically.
Happy shopping!
