Athleisure/Loungewear Favorites
I don’t know about you, but I LOVE athleisure and a comfy pair of leggings! Especially since we have been spending so much time at home this past year, I took it as an opportunity to explore new (to me) athleisure wear brands and really up my active wear, athleisure wear and loungewear game.
My current go to brands are Lululemon, Outdoor Voices, Bandier, Carbon 38, Athleta, Summersault, Target and Madewell with a few other mixed between. I am all about wearing soft, cozy, luxe cashmere blend sweatpants that look so pulled together you can throw them on with flats to travel in… or a pullover that you can throw on after yoga or wear to work... or super soft, amazingly fitting black leggings that would work for a HIIT class or under boots in public. It’s truly all about what can transition from activity to activity throughout the day. I mean why not be comfortable and stylish at the same time!?
Yes, athleisure has been around for awhile, but it surely has exploded with a lot of everyday wear brands getting in on the boom (i.e. Everlane just launched their leggings line). But women have been living in workout clothes/athleisure type clothing for a while now, but now my husband is getting in on the game too with her new love for Lululemon and Lake.
With all that said, below are all my favorites and things on my wish list right now as well as my recos from my current closet - there is a range of pretty much everything from my favorite leggings, to what I love to lounge in.
Sweatshirts/Sweaters
Athleta Cascades Crew Sweater: I love the classic fisherman crew style and the oversize fit of this sweater. I basically like oversize anything when it comes to a comfy sweater/sweatshirt. The black or oatmeal option are great neutral colors that always make me feel pulled together.
Lululemon Peaceful Moments Pullover: For me this pullover is everything, from the crop style, the collar and the luxe burnt color.
Madewell Halfzip Pullover: When Madewell launched their active line last year I was so excited. So many cure loungewear sets but this pullover caught my eye. So soft and love the leopard print done in a more neutral way.
Aday Like a Boss Sweatshirt: This is a new to me brand and I have this sweatshirt on my wish list. I love the boat like mock neck and the sand color gives me all the feels. I think it would pair well with leggings, joggers, jeans or a skirt.
Bottoms
Lululemon Align Pant: My all time FAVORITE legging is the Align Pant. I LIVE in these. They're so so soft, hug you perfectly (can easily stuff into boots), and are fairly lightweight. They come in so many colors, but black is always my go to.
Athleta Elation Shine Tights: These are a little outside my comfort zone (shine), but I loved the neutral color and how the shine gives the leggings a little something special. I have really come to like Athleta leggings a lot as well. Great quality and price comparable to Lululemon.
Target leggings: Target has really upped their active and athleisure wear game and these leggings are a great budget friendly option.
Sumersault Cashmere Joggers: Cashmere joggers and loungewear sets are a hot trend right now and these joggers are a great budget friendly option so you can sport the trend. Love the toffee and gray colors. These joggers are a great high-end option as well.
TOPS
Outdoor Voices Cotton T-Shirt: This is hands down my favorite t-shirt. I love the crop style and the fabric is so soft. It’s lightweight and super breathable.
Outdoor Voices Ready Set Tank: I recently discovered this tank and I'm hooked. It's the softest material ever, and it's such a perfect fit.
Old Navy Activewear Top: I saw this top at Old Navy and loved the color and tie front. It’s a great budget friendly option and is super comfortable for everyday wear.
SHOES
Jenny Kayne Lounger Sneaker: These are on my wishlist. I love how casual and classic these are and could easily be paired with jeans, joggers or leggings for a comfy but pulled together look.
Target Performance Sketchers: These Target sneakers look like APL’s but for a fraction of the cost. Love the neutral color and they look super stylish too. Great for running errands or walking around in.
Veja Sneakers: These are also on my wishlist and I love how trendy but classic they are. Again, would pair well with jeans, a skirt, leggings or joggers.
Ugg Slippers: I have LIVED in these and wear them everyday. I cannot recommend these slippers enough!
