Best Athletic, Running & Everyday Sneakers for Women

I have been in desperate need for a new pair of running sneakers. I have been wearing the same old pair for almost two years now and the lack of support is making itself known. Yes, running and athletic shoes only last for so many miles/workouts, but I have been putting off getting a new pair because finding a supportive and comfortable running and athletic sneaker to me is like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

I decided to do some research and really figure out what the best running sneakers are currently on the market so I can stop being overwhelmed by all the different types of performance shoes on the market. Do you need a performance sneaker? An everyday running sneaker? A supportive sneaker? A sneaker for recovery runs? A sneaker to help your pronation? Or a sneaker that’s just cute….the options are truly endless.

The tops shoes that appeared over and over are as follows:

  • Nike Women’s Zoom Pegasus Turbo 2 Running Shoe: The most versatile everyday running sneaker. Designed to absorb shock and per the reviews, extremely comfortable.

  • Adidas Edgebounce: Reviews say this shoe is great if you need a wider sneaker with a platform for added stability and comfort.

  • HoKA ONE ONE Bondi 7:Reviews say good for everyday wear, especially if you are on your feet all day because these are all about cushion.

  • On Cloud X: Per the product description this shoe moves in all directions, so it’s a great all around training sneaker…so not just a running shoe. Great for walking, HIIT, and strength workouts at the gym.

  • Mizuno Wave Rider 24: One of the top selling running shoes year over year (who knew?!), this is the most comfortable and consistent running experience offered (per the reviews!). Also, I think these look super cool. Love the overall shoe design. .

  • Saucony Wide 13: Saucony was one of the first pair of running shoes I ever bought and loved them. They have a lower ankle curve and I know I need a little more ankle support.

  • APL Techloom Breeze: These are great for gym workouts or everyday wear. I think APL makes a great and stylish shoe. Their color options are super on trend, but these are for sure a splurge.

I’m leaning towards the Nike Pegasus or the Cloud X. Either way I know my feet are going to thank me.
